Can I Really Run My Car on Water? – HHO Shows Why You Can’t Run Cars on Water

It almost sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? The idea of somehow adding water into your car’s gas tank and off you go, driving right past the gas station!

There’s also the more readily acceptable “hydrogen to gas” idea that’s taken the internet by storm, and works by adding home made hydrogen to your engine – from water! Think of the savings!

Ahhh the Internet. Isn’t it wonderful? It’s simply bursting with great schemes just like these.

There are a countless number of websites out there, all offering the secret to run your car on water. The sales pages all look very convincing and they’re always a handful of testimonials in there too.

It really does sounds like a plausible way to bypass the oil industry and drive all day for next to nothing. But is it real? Can I gain 30% extra economy and power? Can I really make any savings at all?

Well you’d better brace yourself, because despite what you’ve read online, the actual answer is no.

Now this is dangerous territory because there’s big money to be made in conning people into buying these hydrogen kits.

Despite this, and the predicted onslaught of defensive comments from these very scam-artists, there are conclusive scientific reports that hydrogen injected into your engine with a home-made HHO kit will not offer any increase in gas mileage, speed or overall economy.

It can be complicated to get your head around, but a simplified version of the process works like this.

Firstly you generate hydrogen from water with a kit, and your car’s battery. This is a process called electrolysis and uses an immense amount of electricity to produce a small quantity of hydrogen.

This electricity is coming from your car’s alternator which means your savings have already vanished before you’ve begun.

Now that you’re generating hydrogen, you can inject it into your engine’s intake. It’s not complicated and can the whole process can be done in an hour or two.

When complete, turn on the switch, wait for the hydrogen to be released into the engine, and hey presto – you’ve just wasted an afternoon and a good chunk of money! This is because it simply cannot do anything to increase your power or economy. That is a scientific fact.

“But my car’s trip computer says my mileage has improved!” This is because your car’s sensor is being tricked into running excessively lean, straining your engine and releasing a higher amount of pollutants into the air we breathe. You’re not saving anything either, your engine has to work just as hard as it did before.

Still not convinced? Fair enough, I’m stubborn too at times. To set you straight, head on over to Wikipedia and type in “water fuelled car”. I warn you though, it’s not good news for those who sell these hydrogen kits. Next on the list, have a look at this actual rocket scientist who’s done his own plain-English research: http://www.aardvark.co.nz/hho.shtml

In fact, he’s even organized a $1,000,000 prize to anyone who can scientifically prove a consistent economic improvement of just 25% or more when using one of these scam kits. It’s been almost a year since he put the prize up for offer and no one’s come forward with conclusive evidence.

I could go on and on for weeks but the bottom line is that the only scientifically proven method of cutting your gas bill to zero is to stop using gas completely. Therefore you’re better off converting a car to run on electricity instead. It’ll set you free from the cost of oil – and these terrible scams!
